Cash - is King! We accept only US currency in cash:

Pros

No middlemen fees

No bank fees

Easy to give change back

Cons

I still have to pay taxes

We are not able to accept cash from countries outside the US because it's currently super difficult to get it exchanged in the States.

Please remember to take into consideration the currency exchange rate when you anter your amount. Exchange rate differences, transaction fees, and postage are the responsbility of the customer

We do not accept mail without propoer postage

If you are sending cash via mail, we don't guarantee it will reach us due to a theft issue in human nature. If you still want to send it, it's at your own risk. We don't guarantee it's arrival. Please wrap it in a thick piece of paper and put it in an envelope that does not have a window in it. Then tape it shut. In the US, your chance is 90% of it arriving unopened. If you send cash via other countries, the risk is greater that it won't arrive. When we receive your envelope, we will email you to confirm we have received it, and the amount received. We do not guarantee the transaction if you send cash in the mail for products. If in doubt, find another way. Checks are a great alternative (see below).

Checks:

Pros

No middlemen fees

No bank fees

More secure than cash, to send it via the US mail

Cons

I still have to pay taxes

If you are sending a check from a country other than the U.S., please make sure it is an international check that is also accepted by our bank - USBank.

Also please remember to take into consideration the currency exchange rate and convert your final amount into USD before you write the check. The fees and currency differences are the responsbility of the customer.

We do not accept mail without propoer postage

Checks take 1 week to clear at the bank after we have received it. Your order will be processed once the check has cleared. Any extra bank fees are the are the responsibility of the customer.

Eventbrite.com:

Pros

Easy & Pretty online user friendly interface

Accepts most credit and debit cards internationally

Quick and simple

If you don't mind paying a fee to keep Eventbrite in business, then this is a valid way to pay with a credit card or debit card.

Cons

I still have to pay taxes

Eventbrite.com works together with the Paypal backend and a total of 10% is taken from my sales.

I have to charge extra to cover the online payment processing fees. So rather than make the consumer pay the entire fee, I decided to split it with you. That helps both of us. Thank you!

Paypal:

Pros

More secure than sending cash

Some purchases can be made directly from my website by passing the ticketseller sites

Cons

I still have to pay taxes

Paypal takes about 5-10% before I see the final amount. Unfortunately this drives my products prices up. Paypal also tends to change (adjust/update/upgrade) their rules and regulations periodically and expects me to read it when I receive it with the threat that I can't use the account if I don't agree to it. I am self employed and don't have the manpower nor the time that they have, to read through it every single time they feel like updating their information. I prefer to keep things simple. This is not my first nor favorite system for business transactions. However, it is a popular and secure way of sending cash.

Paypal is known for shutting down accounts if they make too much money... under suspicion of misdeeds. That can take 6 months to a year or longer to clear up. So I am not a proponent of building my online business long term, using their system. However it is a valid and secure way for short term processing if I don't make alot of money online.

Transferring the money from Paypal to my bank account takes a solid week. If you need me to receive the money sooner, please send a check via USPS Express, FEDEXexpress, DHL or UPS.

Kickstarter.com:

Pros

Easy & Pretty online user friendly interface

Accepts most credit and debit cards internationally

Quick and simple

If you don't mind paying a fee to keep Kickstarter itself in business, then this is a valid way to pay.

Cons

I still have to pay taxes

Kickstarter works together with the Paypal backend and a total of 10% is taken from your donations towards their fees before I ever receive the money.

I also have to charge extra for international shipping which can be upwards of $150 per package!!!! SHipping fees are the responsibility of the customer or backer.

iGive.com:

Pros

Easy & Pretty online user friendly interface.

Accepts most credit and debit cards internationally.

Quick and simple.

When you shop online with the iGive button installed on your browser, and the button is turned on, every purchase you make gives a percentage of the price to MUSE Live! which is one of my projects.

Cons

I still have to pay taxes.

iGive.com works together with the Paypal backend and a total of 10% is taken from my sales.

I get paid after iGive gets their percentage and paypal gets their percentage!

It can take a while (1-3 months) before I see the cash come in.

I risk losing a customer if you see an organization you might like better :(

Though iGive has an extensive list of stores to select from, they are still slightly limited.

It could take a few weeks before I see the payment and I find it a bit confusing as to how it works.

5 stars - Sensuous and Romantic Acoustic Pop/Rock Fun!

It's well past midnight as I write this and I can't stop listening to acoustic pop/rock singer/songwriter Barb Kronau-Sorensen's CD "Walk That Mile"! It has that rare quality where the songs are both immediately pleasing to the ear and catchy, yet don't wear out their welcome upon repeated hearings. In fact, upon each listen the songs become even more aesthetically pleasing, while one develops a deeper appreciation of the melodies, instrumentation, and extra layers and levels of meaning to the lyrics. I can't decide if my favorite song is "The Sound of Your Soul" or "Because I Am" -- I like the overall sensuous, Caribbean feel and emotion of "Soul" the best, yet I can't resist the unexpected melodic variations and vocal stylings of the last two and a half lines of each verse of the rockin' "Because I am". "Because I Am" vividly conveys the singer's delight at her formerly stick-in-tne-mud lover's unexpected romantic revival -- which has happily turned her into his fool as well. "The Sound of Your Soul" combines the musical styles of lite jazz and Jamaican music to set a warm, loving mood... a wash of sound that magically conveys the depth of the love the singer feels for her love, as she basks in the glow and feels ever closer to, almost one with, his soul. The CD opens with the infectiously catchy instrumentation of the pop rock song "Walk That Mile", wherein the singer tells of the lesson she has learned, that she has to follow her own path, not those others would choose for her. A familiar lesson perhaps, but one seldom conveyed with as much feel, strength, and good 'ol fashioned rock 'n roll fun than it is here. In fact, from the moment the song begins it is clear that this entire CD is a fully professional quality work of art, from the highly skilled playing and singing to the crisp high fidelity recording with absolutely no background noise -- an impeccable job all the way around. The fourth song on the CD, the catchy dance club style "Possessive Obsession", breaks somewhat with Sorensen's acoustic tradition by using techno-pop studio tricks and electronics -- to good effect. And it's interesting to hear a story of a woman being possessed by love for a change, as we have a tendency to think of obsessive love as a purely male phenomenon. Also unexpected for an independent label is how fully professional the packaging and graphic design of the CD is, with the inclusion of lyrics and several lovely and festive photographs of the singer, whose beautiful voice is matched only by her visual beauty. Anyone who has had the good fortune to have seen one of this very intelligent singer/songwriter's beautiful, energetic (and downright fun!) concerts knows that she has an incredible wealth of original material -- so my only complaint is that only a few them have been recorded so far. Let us hope she gets another CD released soon. In the meantime, if you're looking for a wonderful musical pickup during the winter doldrums (or any time), something that is both romantic, fun, and insightful, I can't recommend a better CD than Barb Sorensen's "Walk That Mile".
